Roy is the owner of Long Beach Boat Captains as well as a US Coast Guard Licensed 100 Ton National Master Captain.  Roy has over 30 years boating experience in power and sailing vessels up to 80 feet.  Roy is proficient in the operation of all sailing and motor vessel systems including Volvo Penta IPS and is a veteran of many deliveries including 2021 Absolute 47 Fly from La Paz, MX to Huntington Beach (1000 nm), Riviera 60 Sportfish from Peurto Vallarta, MX to San Diego (1100 nm), Grand Banks 49 from Bellingham Washington to San Francisco, 450 Express Bridge-Oxnard to Monterey, 50 foot Hatteras Cockpit Cruiser New Orleans-St. Petersburgh, FL (580 nm), 40 foot Islander Sailboat from Longbeach to Sausalito, Chris Craft Commander 410 from Sausalito to Willow Berm Marina in San Joaquin River Delta and more.  Roy's method is to inspect and double check, plan and double check, chart and double check, plan alternate routes and safe harbor waypoints, and then go over it all again with weather routing, sea state, and constant updates.  Captain Roy runs the boat at appropriate speeds for the sea state and the vessels integrity with constant attention to fuel consumption vs. time on the water.  Roy not only has a passion for sailing and power boating, his mission is the mission of the company -- to provide clients with a professional, safe and detailed delivery, boat charter, or instruction experience with the goal of earning repeat and referral business.

Captain Roy has owned several large twin screw motor yachts, sailboats, and he has skippered may others.

Captain Darren has spent nearly his whole life skiing and boating since he was 5 years old. Sailing has been his passion the past 5 years. He specializes in destination sailing and deliveries and has crewed and delivered boats from San Francisco to Long Beach to Hawaii and back, as well as Mexico, Fiji and The Marquises Islands. Darren recently delivered a 54 Jeanneau from Fiji to New Caledonia and then on to Sydney Australia. He has captained Several California coastal sails as well.

Captain Travis has been delivering power and sail boats for the past fifteen years. He specializes in sailboat deliveries and, as far as he is concerned, the longer the trip the better.  While the crew is celebrating as they near a tropical island after two or three weeks at sea, he’s quietly thinking that another week or two would be nice! The sea truly is his happy place. He also loves to share his passion for sailing in a simple, grounded, and fun way. Many of his students have gone on to get their captains licenses and pursue their passions for sailing and cruising.
